VIVA! is a performance that I shall carry out on Ban Jelačić Square in Zagreb. I shall climb to one of the high parts of the square, and after a short introduction, start glorifying the Croatian prime minister Dr Ivo Sanader, shouting out “Viva Dr Ivo Sanader”, attempting to interest the public and passers-by to join me in repeating “Viva” and clapping after every couple of acclamations.

PROTEST PERFORMANCE
Protest is an action in which I will go in front of a group of demonstrators, with megaphone in hand, while the protesters will carry white flags and banners on which nothing is written. Although my grimaces and gesticulations will give me the appearing of shouting and egging on the demonstrators, while they will be making gestures and grimaces as if they were angry, the protest will be entirely silent. The protest walk will be held along a route still to be negotiated, and will start off from the Artists’ House. The action will be performed on the last day of the exhibition.

SINIŠA LABROVIĆ (1965, Sinj, HR) took a degree in Croatian language and literature at the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb. For the first time, he exhibited in Dubrovnik in the Otok Gallery in 2000. Since then he has taken part in a number of solo and collective exhibitions at home and abroad. His recent exhibitions included Gloria, Split, Gallery of Fine Arts; Matrixartproject, Carlisle, UK; Reviews on contemporary society, Lazareti Art Workshop, Dubrovnik; Welcome, Contemporary Art from Croatia, 100 degree Gallery, Reykjavik Arts Festival, Iceland; 9th VSTOPPROST/ADMISSION FREE 2008, Festival of Urban Interventions, action, performance and installation, Celje, Slovenia; Island Map, Klovićevi dvori Gallery, Zagreb. He is the winner of the third prize from T-HTnagrada@msu.hr. He is based in Zagreb.
